There should be no "historical facts" who needs the protection of law to stand firm - a historical event that is true can stand on its own merits. The story of what happened to the Jews during WWII can not stand on its own merits; it requires imprisonment of researchers; imprisonment of individuals who question aspects of it; it feels it necessary to utilize torture to get a confession out of those who served in those fateful years; it required several foul show trials to establish itself as "proven history".

“Men without morals”

What men are capable of doing to each other makes one shudder. The human body, of course, only offers a limited number of variants of torture even for the most perverted fantasy, but the victim of torture dies a thousand deaths. Most of the victims of Soviet murders would have preferred to have died quickly by a bullet in front of a cemetery wall or a noose on the gallows, as practiced by the Germans during their executions. The mutilations alone give the reader an idea of the sufferings of the victims of the Red Army before they died. If the reader, in viewing the photographs, tries to put himself in the victim’s place while they were being martyred, tormented, beaten or mauled to death — in the condition in which they were found by their comrades — he will obtain an idea of what men without morals are capable of doing.

Torture disguised as "interrogation." As dumb as Dick Cheney, George Tenet and most Americans truly are, I am sure even they realized rather quickly they were getting worthless blah-blah from waterboarding and "rectal rehydration." So, why did they do it? I can't prove it, at least not yet--but, I think they were feeding their sadistic urges. From their "exceptional" and self-righteous mind set, why not torture these guys? Heck, they weren't even Christians. They must have been "evil." However, if they had ever wanted to see true evil, all they had to do was look in any mirror. ISIS is synonymous today with evil. But, from the ISIS point of view, which is almost a mirage image of American righteousness, they are doing God's work. They are all NUTS--and the world will pay a heavy price to achieve some sanity.
